Hanoi to launch the program on "For Traffic Safety in the Capital 2017"

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Nguyen The Hung has recently issued Plan 151/KH-UBND dated June 28 on implementing communications program named "For Traffic Safety in the Capital" in 2017.

Accordingly, “For Traffic Safety in the Capital” program includes a writing contest on traffic safety based on writing contests since 2011, multiple choice test on internet, and visual interactions with information technology software.

The program will be launched from July 2017 to March 2018. The writing contest will be opened in July 2017, and preliminary summed up in October; award ceremony will be organized in March 2018. The multiple choice test will be opened on internet in June 2017, and prizes will be awarded monthly; summarization and award ceremony will be held in March 2018.

The Urban & Economic Newspaper is responsible for cooperating with city's departments, agencies, districts, suburban districts and relevant units to launch the program; making plan to carry out activities in the program; announcing the contest regulation and establish the board of judges; receiving entries, assessing them, and selecting the best ones to publicize on its Traffic Safety column.

The contests aim to increase popularization on traffic safety and order in 2017 themed “Building traffic safety in the youth” and “First priority to the people’s life”; improve awareness of state management agencies, transportation enterprises and people on law compliance; contribute to reducing traffic jam and accidents; increase urban order and civilization; suggest measures to reduce traffic congestion and accidents, increase urban order and civilization, and build traffic culture among the youth.
