Hanoi People’s Committee has recently issued Plan 17/KH-UBND on implementing Vietnam Day of Consumer Rights 2017 in Hanoi.
Enterprises are requested to be fully aware of their rights and responsibilities in production and circulation of goods, hence guaranteeing consumer rights. Associations are asked to increase responsibilities and cooperation to protect consumer rights.
Vietnam Day of Consumer Rights 2017 campaign is launched from January to December 31 in Hanoi. Along with launching ceremony, the program offers many activities, such as launching Week of Expressing Gratitude to Consumers program, popularizing law and legal regulations on consumer right protection, and answering questions about law and relevant documents on consumer right protection through hotline 04 1081.
Through these activities, Hanoi expects to improve people’s awareness and sense of law compliance, give orientation and promote sense of consumer rights of enterprises, build consumer culture, increase people’s sense of self-protection in trading, and enhance responsibility of state agencies and social organizations.
