According to the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, a ceremony to mark the first International Day of Yoga will be organized at Hanoi’s Quan Ngua Sports Complex on June 21.
Indian Ambassador Preeti Saran said at the recent press conference, June 21 was declared as the International Day of Yoga by the UN General Assembly on December 11, 2014.
Vietnam is one of the first countries to co-sponsor UN General Assembly Resolution of such nature, the Ambassador said.
The event, which includes yoga performances, will take place in other cities and provinces across the country such as Can Tho, Da Nang and HCM City.
