Hanoi to perform key tasks for August's socio-economic development

The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently issued Announcement 906/TB-UBND, stating conclusion of the Municipal People’s Committee in the conference to review performance in July and implement tasks in August as well as next months of 2017.



 

Under the assessment, in July, city’s departments, agencies and sectors sucessfully promoted the success in the first half of 2017, overcame difficulties, handled shortcomings and took drastic, comprehensive measures to reach socio-economic growth targets. The authorities proactively and closely cooperated with each other, and scientifically performed their tasks, such as responding to natural disasters (tropical storms Talas and Sonca), preventing and fighting fire and explosion, handling traffic accidents, handling complaints and denunciations, announcing result of inspection, and handling the situation after comprehensive inspection of management and use of land in Mieu Mon airport (My Duc suburban district).

In July, the departments and sectors of Hanoi cooperated closely to organize important political events in the city, such as preparing and organizing the 4th session of the Municipal People’s Council (tenure 15), handling voters’ requests and answering their questions before and after the 3rd session, as well as voters’ requests before the 4th session of Municipal People’s Council, which is highly appreciated by the People’s Council and voters. The Hanoi People’s Council also approved project on increasing management of vehicles to reduce traffic jam and environmental pollution in Hanoi for the period of 2017 to 2020, vision to 2030.

 



Hanoi successfully organized important events and conferences to mark the 70th anniversary of the Vietnamese Invalids’ and Martyr s’ Day (July 27), popularized events to mark the Invalids’ and Martyr s’ Day, finished the task of building houses for contributors to the country, paid tribute to the heroes, martyrs and President Ho Chi Minh, and visited Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and typical families as well as collectives under preferential treatment policy. The city also organized programs to express deep gratitude towards the heroes and martyrs, and held ceremonies to honor people with special contribution to the country.

In order to fulfill key mission for August and reach economic development targets for the last months of 2017, Ha Noi requests departments, agencies and sectors to perform tasks given by the Government, Municipal Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee, in particular increase effort to prevent and control diseases, prepare for the new school year, guarantee fire safety, traffic safety and environmental sanitation, and successfully organize political events as well as festivals in the city.
