Hanoi to promote export turnover via trade and export market development
The Hanoi People`s Committee has recently issued Document No. 1170 on implementing instruction to sum up performance in 2017 and implement task for 2018 of the industry and trade sector.
Under the Document, the industry and trade sector shall take following actions:
Urgently complete and launch its plan on restructuring the industry sector for the period of 2018 and 2020, vision to 2025 in accordance with resolutions of the Central Party, National Assembly, Government and instruction of the Prime Minister;
Study and make national policy on industry for the following period, create comprehensive, concentrated, innovative and breakthrough framework of policies towards higher productivity, quality and effectiveness, and application of science and technology;
Consider enterprise as the core of innovation and development, create stable, sustainable investment and business environment, and develop high-quality resources;
Further enhance production and trade, ensure the balance between supply and demand in the country;
Ensure macro balance in medium and long term, pay special attention to the prime products, and prevent the lack of power for 2019 - 2025 period as well as lack of goods;
Further improve products, and strive to have more strong brands in order to meet demand of people from all walks of life;
Proactively take measures to increase management and control the technical barriers, meet the demand and protect domestic production properly according to the legal regulations and international treaties;
Continue effort to increase trade promotion, and develop export market development to boost export turnover;
Take further actions to increase effectiveness, support enterprises to take new opportunities and take advantage of new opportunities thanks to Free Trade Agreements;
Launch e-commerce widely, especially for high-tech products;
Increase the application of science and technology products in the field of industry and trade, in particular industrial production, to increase added value, effectiveness and competitiveness; Further enhance administration reform, and increase the fight against corruption and wastefulness;
Urge agencies and departments in localities to join hands, and take drastic measures to overcome problems.
In response to the instruction, the Municipal People’s Committee assigns Department of Industry and Trade in cooperation with Authority of Plan and Investment, Department of Science and Technology, Hanoi Industrial and Export Processing Zone Management Board, Hanoi Promotion Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism and relevant sectors to proactively make plans.
They will implement working programs and plans in terms of industry and trade for 2018 according to instruction of the Prime Minister.
They also act as advisor to the Municipal People’s Committee, submit report, suggest measures to the People’s Committee in order to fulfill socio-economic development tasks for 2018.
