The Hanoi Party Committee has recently issued Announcement 760-TB/TU, stating conclusion of Permanent Vice Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang at working session with Party unit of the Vietnam Red Cross.
In order to promote its role and further contribution, the Hanoi Red Cross is asked to strictly follow instructions of the Central Red Cross, political tasks of the city and requests in the current period, focusing on following issues:
Further building and consolidating apparatus of the Red Cross, improve capacity of the Red Cross, in particular increase popularization of significance and social responsibilities of humanitarian aid, educate young people of kindness, increase training and popularization of knowledge of first aid, prevent and respond to natural disasters, prevent accidents and injuries in youngsters and people;
Improving performance of Red Cross at all levels, make it more practical and effective; increase efforts to call social sources, maintain and expand sustainable humanitarian models.
Red Cross units at all levels should join hands to develop the Red Cross, and call on organizations, individuals and philanthropists to take part in their activities. The Red Cross must be friend of the poor and vulnerable people, and make more contribution to social protection, and proactively join foreign affair activities in the humanitarian field.
