The Office of Hanoi People’s Committee sent an Official Letter on July 17 to departments, agencies and sectors requesting them to review dyke construction and improvement projects in accordance with current regulations and standards.


The Water Resources Directorate under the Ministry of Science and Technology sent on June 30 a letter to provincial and cities authorities, including the Hanoi’s government, requesting them to reviewing projects on dyke construction and improvement in accordance with current regulations and standards, including the Vietnamese Standard TCVN 9901:2014 on irrigation works and sea dyke design requirements and the Vietnamese Standard 9902:2016 on irrigation works and river dyke design requirements issued on April 29, 2016.

In response to the document, the Hanoi People’s Committee requests Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in cooperation with relevant units and agencies to perform the task, and report to Water Resources Directorate and People’s Committee.
