Hanoi to stage special art tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

The art program "He Is President Ho Chi Minh" combines historical documents, animated visuals, and contemporary musical performances.

THE HANOI TIMES — A special art program Nguoi la Ho Chi Minh (He Is President Ho Chi Minh) will take place at Ba Dinh Square in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi at 8:10 PM on May 18 and will be broadcast live on VTV1 and other digital platforms to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday on May 19.

The show will be held by the Hanoi People’s Committee, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, and Vietnam Television (VTV).

Nguyen Trung Dung, General Director of NetMedia and chief director of the program, said the production is structured around the various names and aliases used by President Ho Chi Minh throughout his life and revolutionary career. Each name, he noted, is deeply rooted in the historical context of its era, serving a specific purpose reflective of the nation's struggle. Together, they form a lasting legacy, each bearing the imprint of a remarkable individual while capturing the spirit of the Vietnamese people and the sweeping changes of the times.

The program is divided into three segments, with the first titled “Nguyen Sinh Cung – Nguyen Tat Thanh,” focusing on the values and ideals that shaped Ho Chi Minh’s character during his formative years.

The second part, “Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh,” portrays the period from 1930 to 1975 when he absorbed progressive values, sought to liberate the nation, engaged in international movements, founded the Party, and made historic contributions to the revolutionary cause, as well as during the periods of renovation, integration, and development.

The final segment: "Vietnam! The Era of Rising Up," affirms that his name embodies the nation's sacred soul, etching the words "Vietnam – Independence, Freedom, and Happiness" on the global map. His life, career, and legacy remain the driving force behind Vietnam’s ongoing pursuit of strength and progress.

The artistic performances blend traditional and contemporary elements, combining music, dance, dramatization, and advanced 3D mapping projections to create powerful visual and emotional experiences for audiences.

The event aims to offer the public a closer look at President Ho Chi Minh’s life and ideals while inspiring patriotism, noble aspirations, and a deepened commitment to serving the nation.
