Visiting the neighboring country's embassy, Ky wished for Cambodia's development and an increasing role in the international arena.

The Vietnamese official said that Vietnam and Cambodia have held many diplomatic events together this year to strengthen relations between the two countries.

So far this year, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations has carried out activities to foster Vietnam-Cambodia relations and tighten the bonds between the two parties, governments and peoples, he said.

The HUFO President also thanked the Cambodian Ambassador and the diplomatic mission for their joint efforts in holding the cultural exchanges.

For her part, the Cambodian ambassador expressed her appreciation for the support of the Hanoi authorities.

She promised that the embassy would strive to strengthen Vietnam-Cambodia relations and educate young generations about the importance of bilateral ties.

She hoped that the number of Vietnamese tourists to Cambodia would increase as there is a direct flight route between Vietnam and Cambodia's Siem Reap City, enabling Vietnamese tourists to visit the ancient city of Angkor Wat and other world-famous Cambodian ancient relics.
