Hanoi universities listed QS global ranking 2021

Two Hanoi universities have made it into the global ranking of top majors in 2021.

Two Hanoi universities have made it into the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) in 2021, which classifies higher education majors.

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a well-known UK-based education organization specializing in overseas education, has just announced that two Hanoi universities have made it into the global ranking of top majors in 2021.

In 2021, Vietnam National University-Hanoi’s major in Business and Management Studies is ranked for the first time in this table, in addition to the four majors that appeared in the previous ranking, including Computer science and information system; Mechanical Engineering, Aviation and Manufacturing; Maths; Physics and Astronomy.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology has four majors in the ranking, including Computer Science and Information Systems; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Mechanical Engineering, Aviation and Manufacturing; and Maths.

In Business and Management Studies, Vietnam National University-Hanoi is ranked 501-550 out of 1,161 educational institutions.

In terms of Mathematics teaching, the school position remains unchanged compared to last year, ranking 401-450 in the world and first in Vietnam, followed by Hanoi University of Science and Technology (in the group of 451-500).

In Physics and Astronomy teaching, in 2021, Vietnam National University-Hanoi is the only institution in Vietnam to be ranked, increasing to 501-550 compared from 551-600 in 2020.

Electrical and Electronic Engineering teaching of Hanoi University of Science and Technology still ranks in the 401-450 group and first in Vietnam.

The list analyzes four factors including academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per article, H-index measures of productivity and impact of scientific claims of lecturers.

According to QS, Vietnam National University-Hanoi is teaching 35,000 students and employs 2,600 academic staff. Its research output is assessed at “high level”.

The Hanoi University of Science and Technology has a total 128 international students and 1,480 faculty staff.

Vietnam National University-Hanoi and Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City last year entered the Best Global Universities rankings put out by the US News & World Report.
