The project receives total investment of US$ 332.599 million, and has three components: Ring Road 2 of 6,081 meters connecting Nhat Tan Bridge and Lang street; bus rapid transit (BRT) on Yen Nghia - Kim Ma route; institutional improvement to support common development goals of the project. It is scheduled to complete on December 31.

Speaking at the working session, WB suggested that Hanoi should increase effort to complete the last parts of the project, especially ensure transport to create favorable conditions for BRT. WB confirmed to support Hanoi.

For his part, Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung emphasized that there are only 55 days left until deadline, and the city is facing heavy workload. Therefore, he urged the Department of Transport to have the best plan for BRT within November of 2016 and create consensus among the people. For transport arrangement for BRT, the city shall collect opinions of experts and people, hence reviewing and amending it properly. The vehicles must be in Ha Noi no later than December 15, and will be put into trial operation. Hanoi also confirmed to provide enough counterpart funds to launch the project.
