In recent years, Hanoi has been working hard to strengthen links with other localities nationwide to diversify tourism offerings and improve the quality of tourism services to attract more holidaymakers to the capital. Recently, the city's Department of Tourism has coordinated with relevant units to organize various tourism programs, namely the Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival, the trial program of "Hanoi Night: The Touchstone of Emotions" and others.
In addition, the department continues to promote agricultural and rural tourism; conducts some research on community tourism model related to handicraft villages and ethnic minorities in Ba Vi District; surveys to build a waterway tour connecting tourist destinations on the Red River, and others.
