The organizers will select high-performance young fencers to compete in international competitions through the tournament.
Vietnam National Youth Fencing Championship 2022 officially closed on September 28 at the Sports Gymnasium in the northern province of Hai Duong.

The championship concluded after seven days of competition. The first prize belongs to the Hanoi team, which won 11 gold medals, eight silver medals, and nine bronze medals; followed by the Bac Ninh team with two gold, four silver, and two bronze medals; and the Ho Chi Minh City team took the third place with two gold, three silver three bronze medals.
The 12th Vietnam National Youth Fencing Championship 2022 featured 127 fencers from nine teams from the major cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong, and the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, and Hai Duong, and the Vietnam People’s Police Force.
The fencers have competed in two age groups of 17 and 20.
In the younger group, fencers competed in the categories of individual men and women foil, épée and sabre; men-team and women team's foil, épée and sabre.
In the older group, fencers competed in similar categories according to the knockout rule.
According to the organizers, the tournament is an opportunity to test the technical and tactical level of fencers and select the best national team athletes to compete at the upcoming local and international fencing tournaments.
