Hanoians enjoy “Run to Give” to support child in difficult areas

Sheraton Hanoi Hotel and JW Marriott Hanoi Hotel are holding a charity race on September 24, with title “Run to Give 2017”.

"Run to Give 2017" aims to support the Aid for social protection Foundation Vietnam’s Child Sponsorship Programme.

The event is an annual charity programme hosted by the two hotels. Participants can purchase the “Run to Give” t-shirt, costing VND200,000 and run in the 3-km run to support the programme. All money raised at the event will be donated to the Aid for social protection Foundation Vietnam’s Child Sponsorship Programme for developing education and child care quality.
Prizes will be awarded to the fastest male, female and kids, bringing some competitiveness to the event. The event will take place from 7 am until 11am on September 24 on Do Duc Duc Street, Me Tri, Nam Tu Liem District.
In 2015,  Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific was holding “Run to Give” charity run in 105 locations across Asia Pacific on 11 October 2015. As part of this Asia Pacific-wide initiative, Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, Sheraton Nha Trang, Sheraton Saigon and Le Meridien Saigon was join hands to organize the event in support of Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Run to Give also marks the kick-off in Asia Pacific of Together As One (TAO), Starwood’s annual global volunteer campaign.
The race held in Hanoi was take place at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel with the route of 1 – 3KM around West Lake. Registration for the run is VND 200,000 as the purchase of the T-shirt. Run to Give expects to gather more than 300 Starwood associates, running enthusiasts, and philanthropists from Sheraton Hanoi Hotel. Funds raised through the charity run will go towards supporting education’s program for Vietnamese underprivileged children.
