With 8,000 doses of vaccine against Covid-19, the Hanoi’s health sector has issued its initial vaccination rollout plan, including the priority groups to be given the jabs in the first phase of 2021.

On March 8, Director of the Hanoi Department of Health Tran Thi Nhi Ha said that the plan aims to reduce the incidence and mortality from the disease in the community by using Covid-19 vaccine.
Accordingly 7,235 people who are exposed to high risk of Covid-19 contagion will be the first to be vaccinated against the disease.
Among them, some 4,000 people who work in medical facilities and make direct contact with Covid-19 patients or the patients’ specimen, medical staff taking Covid-19 samples for testing, staff working in epidemiological investigation and tracing suspected Covid-19 people, staff in the emergency unit and transporting Covid-19 patients.
Other 3,500 people participate in the pandemic prevention, including members of the Steering Committee for the Covid-19 prevention, people working in the city's isolation centers are also prioritized for being inoculated.
The vaccination will be conducted from March 9 to 18 in 30 districts and townships across the city.
Last night, the Hanoi Department of Health issued a test plan to detect SARS-CoV-2 for people who may be at high risk of infecting Covid-19 in the community.
Accordingly, about 4,000 randomly selected people who are workers, restaurant staff and residents living in apartment buildings will be tested for Covid-19 from March 11.
