Half a month after Hanoi piloted Japan's nano-bioreactor technology in some sections of To Lich river, its water gradually changed from black to milk-white and the bad smell of the river was partly disappearing.

Besides, in this same river, Hanoi is simultaneously piloting other cleaning technologies such as the one from Europe.

Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung and Vice Chairman Nguyen Doan Toan on June 2 checked the water remediation process with European technology at the To Lich river’s section near the intersection between Buoi street and Hoang Hoa Tham street.

After the piloting, based on the analytical results, Hanoi’s authority will choose the most appropriate and effective technology to clean up the dying river.

The same day, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen The Hung inspected the cleaning work in To Lich river’s section through Kim Giang ward, Thanh Xuan district.
