Hanoi’s main thoroughfare becomes green again

Pham Van Dong Street is one of the coolest streets in the capital city.

Nearly five years after the leafy trees on Pham Van Dong Street in Hanoi’s Bac Tu Liem District were removed for the road expansion, the thoroughfare is once again shaded thanks to the lines of newly planted trees.

In October 2017, 1,300 trees on Pham Van Dong Street were felled and relocated for building the ring road No.3 connecting Thang Long - Mai Dich bridge.

In recent days, the pictures of Pham Van Dong Street are being spread out on social networks, which attracts many locals.

Up to now, the trees have become the highlight of Pham Van Dong Street.

With 1,500 new trees planted to replace 1,300 trees cut down, Pham Van Dong Street becomes one of the coolest roads in the capital city.

Pham Van Dong Street, which has 12 lanes, with 6 lanes on each side and rows of various trees, is currently one of the most beautiful traffic routes in Hanoi.

The rows of cool trees on the five-kilometer-long, wide-gauge route are like a big umbrella to cool down people.
