Hanoi’s medical center earns greater prestige with high-tech services

The Hanoi High-tech & Digestive Center is the first of its kind in Hanoi meeting European standards.

After two years of operation, the Hanoi High-tech & Digestive Center at Saint Paul General Hospital has proved its quality through modern technological system and a European standard service.

With the system of patient rooms meeting European standards, advanced medical procedures and modern medical equipment system, the center has met patient treatment requirements and has been transferred the latest technologies.  

According to the director of Saint Paul General Hospital among many new techniques transferred include minimally invasive colonoscopy surgery for cancer treatment, anal fistula endoscopic surgery, surgical techniques without leaving scars, among many others.  

In particular, from the end of 2017, the center has successfully applied ozone techniques to treat musculoskeletal pain and herniated disc through the skin. To date, the center has treated more than 50 patients and 60% of them have seen improvement after the first treatment, 80% undergo the second treatment without complications, and recover rapidly. Patients may receive outpatient treatment and cost much less than surgery.

The Hanoi High-tech & Digestive Center is the first of its kind in Hanoi meeting European standards. The center accommodates 12 check-up rooms focusing in digestive cancer screening, three modern operating rooms and three patient rooms with 45 beds, which are equipped with advanced facilities from Europe, such as magnetic resonance imaging and scanner system for the early detection of cancer related to the digestive system
