Two excellent Robotics teams at intermediate level won the championship, continuing to participate in the Robothon International arena in China.
Forty-two Robotics teams from elementary and middle schools in Hanoi competed in Robothon Day 2018 with the theme of "Next Level", held in Hanoi on October 28.
The organizers have found 23 excellent teams including 12 consolation prizes, four third prizes, three second prizes, two first prizes and two championships.
The middle-class champions (9 - 12 years old) belong to Nguyen Duc Anh, Tran Gia Huy, Kieu Hai Phong; elementary -class champions (7-9 years old) belong to Do Khac Viet, Tran Huu Duc Hieu and Banh Hoang Long. Both teams are from Doan Thi Diem School.
In the competition, the teams competed in the skills of programming through two rounds. The qualifiers will be knocked out to select highly-qualified teams to enter the final round.
Technical Director of DTT Eduspec Joint Stock Company - STEM Academy Dang Bao Tuan said that the final round will not depend on teachers’preparation.
The test is random, so the team that really understand can exceed. Each robot will choose a completely different route. Any team that thinks of a good path wins the other teams, Tuan added.
The best Robotics teams will be chosen to participate in the Robothon International arena held on November 25 in China.
Tuan noted that Vietnam's biggest rival is Malaysia. From 2015 up to now, Vietnam has participated in the international contest but still ranked after Malaysia.
"This year, the Vietnamese teachers have trained the students to be better qualified to reach the level of Malaysia," said Tuan.
The Robothon Day is co-organized by the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Management Board and the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with DTT Eduspec Joint Stock Company - STEM Academy, primary and secondary schools in Hanoi.
