Hanoi’s September export turnover reaches US$ 969 million

The total circulation of goods and services in September was estimated at VND 208,617 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.2 percent.



In January – September period, the total circulation of goods and services was estimated at VND 1,719 trillion, representing a year-on-year increase of 9.6 percent. Of the number, total retail sales reached VND 405 trillion, up 9.8 year-on-year.

The State sector achieved VND 55 trillion, accounting for 13.6 percent, up 7.1 percent against the same period last year; the non-state sector achieved VND 308 trillion, accounting for 76 percent, up 10.8 percent; and the FDI sector achieved VND 42 trillion, accounting for 10.4 percent and up 6.4 percent.

 
Trade sector reached VND 208 trillion, accounting for 51.3 percent and up 11.6 percent; hotel and restaurant reached VND 38 trillion, accounting for 9.4 percent and up 10.2 percent; travel and tourism reached VND 7 trillion, accounting for 1.7 percent and up 6.5 percent, and services reached VND 152 trillion, accounting for 37.6 percent and up 7.4 percent.

The export turnover of Ha Noi was estimated at US$ 969 million in September, up 10.5 percent against the same period last year. Of the number, local enterprises exported US$ 805 million of goods, up 9.9 percent year-on-year.

In the first nine months of this year, export turnover was supposed at US$ 8,593 million, up 8.7 percent against the same period last year. Some exports saw high turnovers, including: electronic (up 41.1 percent); petrol (up 39.8 percent); machinery, equipment and accessories (up 24.1 percent); means of transport and spare parts (up 32.1 percent).

In September, the city’s imports were estimated at US$ 2,690 million, up 28.6 against the same period last year. Of the number, import of local companies was US$ 1.200 million, up 30.1 percent against the same period last year. In the January-September period, import turnover hit US$ 21,953 million, up 22.6 percent against the same period last year.
