Hmong’s Festival in Town 2017 will open at Hanoi University of Culture on January 8.
“Hmong’s Festival in Town” is a culture event celebrating Hmong’s traditional New Year in Hanoi. It is also about sharing Hmong Culture values among Hmong community and other ethnic groups. This event is also dedicated to the Hmong students studying and working in Hanoi in hopes that they will have a meaningful traditional Tet.
The event will bring the real Hmong’s traditional New Year (Tet) festival to Hanoi. Beside the all–day-long stage performances and contest, you can also experience Tet market with Hmong special cuisine, colorful hemp fabric clothes and many traditional games of Hmong people during festival. You can enjoy “thắng cố”, taste the real local honey bee, making sticky rice cake and playing “Yến”, “Pao” with us.
