The northern mountainous province of Cao Bang hosted an exhibition on historical and legal evidence proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes.
The event displayed nearly 100 maps and a number of publications and documents written by Vietnamese and foreign historians and researchers.
These documents are important historical and legal evidence affirming that the Vietnamese states have explored, exploited and exercised sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa and others waters since the 17th century.
The exhibition running to December 19, is to strengthen the understanding of historical truth and assert the country's sovereignty over the two archipelagos.
