Honouring 20 young role models in following President Ho’s example

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held a ceremony to honour twenty most outstanding youths in following late President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings in Hanoi on August 29.

Twenty most outstanding youths in following late President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings were honoured at a ceremony in Hanoi on August 29. 
These youths are among 445 delegates to the fourth national congress for youths excelling in following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings between 2014 and 2016. Their prominent achievements in studying, working and self-improvement have positively influenced on young people and the society.

The fourth national congress, themed "I love my fatherland", held on August 28-29 in Hanoi, honours the young role models while devising measures to realise the Politburo’s Directive No. 05 on enhancing the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, moral example and style. 
445 delegates include scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, farmers, workers, soldiers, students and public servants. They come from different ethnic groups and religions, as well as from overseas. 
The congress features forums on the youth’s role in integration, voluntary activities, self-improvement, start-up and creativity.
At the ceremony, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong presented insignia to twenty most outstanding youths in following late President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings.
Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong described the 445 delegates to the congress as “precious seeds” that represent over 25 million members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union across the country. 
Theh General Secretary stressed the Party, State and people always put their trust in the youth union and the young generations of Vietnam, expecting that the union will train the young generations into the pioneers of national development and defence.
