In six months, Hanoi tourism grossing revenue of more than VND35.2 trillion

According to reported of Hanoi Department of Tourism Foreign, tourist arrivals to Hanoi from the start of 2017 reached an estimated 11 million, a year-on-year rise of 8 percent, grossing revenue of more than 35.2 trillion VND, up 13 percent.

Expected to June 2017, tourist arrivals to Hanoi reached an estimated 2 trillion, a year-on-year rise of 7 percent. Meanwhile, foreign tourist arrivals to Hanoi reached an estimated 280 thousands, a year-on-year rise of 10 percent, domestic customer’s arrival to Hanoi reached an estimated 1.911 million, a year-on-year rise of 6 percent. Grossing revenue of more than 6 trillion VND, a year-on-year rise of 12 percent.
According to reported, tourist arrivals to Hanoi from the start of 2017 reached an estimated 11,850 million, a year-on-year rise of 8 percent. Meanwhile, foreign tourist arrivals to Hanoi reached an estimated two millions, a year-on-year rise of 14 percent, domestic customer’s arrival to Hanoi reached an estimated 9,518 millions, a year-on-year rise of 6 percent. Grossing revenue of more than 35 trillion VND, a year-on-year rise of 13 percent.  
In addition, Hanoi is estimated to post an increase of 7.37 percent in gross regional domestic products in the first half of 2017 and earn 5.8 billion USD from exports, up 12.1 percent against last year. The information was heard at a meeting of the municipal Party Committee’s executive board on June 11, reviewing the city’s economic-social development in the first six months of the year and its tasks in the remaining months.
In the reviewed time, Hanoi expects to welcome 11.85 million visitor arrivals, up 8 percent, and contribute to the state budget an amount of 102.5 trillion VND (4.5 billion USD), representing a yearly increase of 18 percent. The city is also estimated to record a surge of 74.6 percent to reach 190.9 trillion VND (about 8.4 billion USD) in the registered capital from the non-state sector.
