The Ben Tre Import Export Joint Stock Company held a ceremony to inaugurate Thanh Thanh Cong factory manufacturing canned coconut milk, the largest of its kind in Vietnam, in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre on November 19.
The largest factory manufacturing canned coconut milk in Vietnam was launched and put into operation on November 19.
The factory cost over 20 million USD, spreading a total area of 7.5 hectares in the Phong Nam small-scale Industrial Complexes in Giong Trom district.
It has an annual capacity of 37 million litres, consuming about 200 million coconuts in the province a year.
According to the Ben Tre Import Export Joint Stock Company, over 90% of its products are expected to be exported to North America, Europe, and several countries in North Africa and Asia.
Currently, Ben Tre is the country’s largest coconut cultivation locality with 63,000 hectares generating 500 million coconuts each year.
