IPU-132 Assembly prepared

Boards of the 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU –132) hosted a plenary session in Hanoi on April 26 to accelerate preparation for the event scheduled to take place in March 2015.

National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong, who is also head of the IPU -132 Organising Board hailed the efforts made by members of the two boards in finalizing the procedure for signing an agreement between the Vietnamese NA and the IPU on the preparation for the IPU Assembly, which will gather lawmakers from around the world.

Phong also asked relevant agencies to complete preparatory work as soon as possible and accomplish a master plan for organising the international event.

The IPU–132 Sub-Secretariat and relevant sub-committees need to work out training content for NA delegations, their members, volunteers and media agencies ahead of the event, Phong noted.
