Five more Covid-19 patients in Vietnam recovered on June 2, accumulating 298 and lifting the number of convalescents to 91% of the total infections, according to the Ministry of Health.

Therefore, the number of active cases has been reduced to 30.
Yhe country has so far confirmed 328 coronavirus cases, with the majority being imported.
As of June 2, Vietnam has undergone 47 days without local transmission, enabling the country to reopen sooner than other economies.

However, local authorities, from top leaders, have warned people of the possible return of coronavirus, calling for vigilance on the virus.
Companies in the country are also alert to a second wave of infection.
The Voice of America (VOA) cited Herbert Laubichler-Pichler, general manager of Alma Resort in the central city of Nha Trang, that in the hospitality industry for instance, companies should not be content just to put out hand gel for customers. He urged people to take more precautions and be aware of ongoing risky behaviors.
At present, around 7,256 people are under quarantine at hospitals, concentrated centers, and lodging facilities and at home.
