Hanoi police probe 22 protesters in Dong Tam deadly riot
Joyful mood is back at Dong Tam village in anticipation of the Lunar New Year festival.

As the Lunar New Year festival (Tet Holidays) is approaching, life in Dong Tam commune, around 40 kilometers south from Hanoi, is gradually getting back to normal after the deadly clash between police and rioters.
Despite the cold weather and rain early on January 22, 2 days before Tet, the wet market in Hoanh village, Dong Tam commune, was filled with people preparing for the festive period.
Meanwhile, all decoration works have been completed, making the atmosphere more joyful and the people were looking forward to a week-long new year celebration.
