London Symphony Orchestra to return for "Vietnam Airlines Classic - Hanoi Concert 2025"

"Vietnam Airlines Classic – Hanoi Concert 2025" aims to bring classical music closer to the public.

THE HANOI TIMES — The London Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of famous conductor Sir Antonio Pappano, will come back for "Vietnam Airlines Classic - Hanoi Concert 2025", which is scheduled on October 10 - 11 at the Ho Guom Opera House.

According to Dang Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, the event is part of the cooperation framework between Vietnam Airlines and the Hanoi People’s Committee, to mark major national celebrations, including the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day as well as the 71st anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10).

"The 2025 concert is designed with new highlights so that Hanoi audiences can enjoy world-class classical music experiences. The choice of the Ho Guom Opera House, which is recognized among the top 10 high-quality opera houses worldwide, not only elevates the event but reflects Hanoi’s commitment to investing in cultural infrastructure," said Tuan.

He said that the concert is expected to become a cultural bridge, connecting residents and visitors with contemporary classical music.

"We also hope to introduce Vietnam as a nation of openness, cultural richness, and love for the arts to the international community," he added.

This year's concert aims to bring classical music closer to the public, especially in an era dominated by popular culture.

Sideline activities such as outdoor performances, music education programs in schools, and live-stream broadcasts are expected to broaden access, ensuring that classical music is not reserved only for an elite audience.

Since its debut in 2017, the concert has established itself as a highlight of Hanoi’s cultural life, has quickly become an international cultural and artistic event, attracting the attention of classical music lovers and contributing to promoting the image of Hanoi.

In the previous edition, the program made a strong impression thanks to world-renowned ensembles such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra and ballet artists from the Bolshoi Theater. These concerts have attracted thousands of spectators, making it an unmissable international cultural rendezvous for classical music lovers at home and abroad.

Tickets are now available via the official website of the Ho Guom Opera House: https://hoguomopera.vn/. Classical music lovers can visit the website to learn more information and own tickets to attend this prestigious music event.
