March 21: Hanoi reports two new coronavirus patients, tops Vietnam with 29

Hanoi has confirmed two new people positive with the coronavirus on March 21, both coming from overseas, taking the toll of infections in the city to 29, the largest number in Vietnam.

Patient No.93, as identified by the Ministry of Health, is a 20-year-old student in Hungary, with residence in Dong Da district. He arrived at Noi Bai airport on March 18.
Patient No.94, a 64-year-old woman with residence in Bac Giang province, landed in Noi Bai airport on March 18 after visiting her daughter in the Czech Republic in February.
The two patients are under treatment in the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh district and in stable health condition.
According to VnExpress, Hanoi now has nearly 700 people who were in close contact with coronavirus-infected people, and nearly 8,000 others under surveillance of medical authorities at their homes or lodging facilities.
Some 3,000 people are now in quarantine at government-controlled establishments, mostly military barracks. The city is preparing three other civil locations that can accommodate 10,100 people, bringing the number of quarantine facilities to 12 with over 12,500 beds.
Before the latest two cases in Hanoi, a Covid-19 case was confirmed in Ho Chi Minh City who is a 21-year-old student returning from France with a stopover in Qatar on March 17. This is the ninth case with France-related origin.
Closing March 21, Vietnam has reported 94 cases. Ho Chi Minh City now has 19 coronavirus patients, the second-largest number behind Hanoi.
