Thereby, the two sides will create conditions for their enterprises to seek investment opportunities in numerous fields with a view to promoting economic cooperation.
For his part, Chairman of the Hanoi Journalist Association To Quang Phan said that the cooperation between the two countries in general and the two localities in particular still has much potential untapped, especially the tourism potential in Chiang Mai.
Chiang Mai is the cultural center of northern Thailand and the second tourism hub of the country after the capital city of Bangkok.
In 2018, Chiang Mai welcomed more than 10 million tourists. Currently, there are direct flights between this province and Hanoi, facilitating tourism development between the two sides.
In the framework of the visit, in addition to working sessions with the Reporter Association of Chiang Mai, Thai News, Chiang Mai Radio and Television, the Hanoi Journalist Association delegation also paid visits to the Office of Thai Tourism Department in Chiang Mai and the provincial Department of Commerce, among others.

The two sides pointed out the difficulties for traditional press in the current period in face of the dominance of social media.
