A ceremony to launch the illustrated diary contest Mitsubishi Asian Children’s Enikki Festa was held in Hanoi on September 15.
Co-hosted by the Art, Photography and Exhibition Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan, the event aims to promote mutual understanding and respect for different cultures between children through their picture diaries towards bringing them together to build a good future.
This year’s contest is open to children from 24 Asian countries.

In Vietnam, children aged 6 to 12 nationwide have been invited to attend the competition. They are encouraged to submit pieces about daily life, friends, family, festivals, customs, school and country.
Entries will be submitted from November 23-27. Exceptional artwork will be chosen and awarded at an exhibition and could win a trip to Japan.
The program was established by the Mitsubishi Public Affairs Committee, the Asian Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations and the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan.
