The first phase of the project includes a six-story building with two main areas for medical examinations and inpatient treatment with 200 beds.

With a total investment of VND785 billion (US$31.6 million), a modern children's hospital opened on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation (October 10, 1954-2024) will improve healthcare capacity for Hanoi and surrounding areas.

Located in Yen Nghia Ward, Ha Dong District, the hospital is the first specialized children's hospital in Hanoi and has 24 departments.

Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, highly appreciated the efforts of the Health Department, Ha Dong District and other agencies to open the hospital on the anniversary.

"The inauguration of the Hanoi Children's Hospital demonstrates the efforts of the entire Hanoi political system in implementing a program to improve the social welfare and quality of life of the city's residents. On this occasion, the Hanoi Department of Health was asked to invest soon in the second phase of the hospital to increase its capacity to 500 beds and become a top pediatric hospital in the capital.

"The capital's health sector will strive to develop specialized and general hospitals to meet the criteria of tertiary hospitals in the national health system," Hoai stressed.
