Vietnam and Australia have room for further cooperation in education.
That was said in Vietnam-Australia education development conference on May, 26 held by Vietnam-Australia Friendship Association of Hanoi and Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade).
In his remark, Chu Xuan Dung, Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training highlighted 2018 as an important milestone for the 45th anniversary of bilateral ties (Feb, 27, 1973-Feb, 27, 2018). During the past 45 years, the bilateral ties made strong development steps with thriving cooperation on numerous areas, especially in education and training.
"More and more Vietnamese pupils and students choose Australia for their studying. Vietnam-Australia Friendship Association of Hanoi has education cooperations with states of Victoria, South Australian state and New South Wales," Dung added.
The Hanoi official offered Austrade, Australia’s Embassy in Vietnam to set deep guidelines and discuss more on cooperation between teachers and students of both countries, bringing better cooperation.
Shannon Leahy, Trade Commissioner at Austrade Vietnam briefly introduced on Australia education and the potentials for both countries. Shannon Leahy said, Vietnamese students are increasingly interested in learning in Australia. Currently, Vietnam is Australia's fifth largest student source market. Vietnam can shake hands with Australia to apply training programs, develop high quality teachers, exchange students, hold summer camp and conduct online A-level course…
Listening for above sharing, teachers from Hanoi’s high schools expresses their high appreciation on Australia’s education system and the hope that their children would attend oversea courses and camp programs in the country.
On this occasion, Vietnam-Australia Friendship Association of Hanoi officially launched its website, which provide information on the association's activities.
