Total revenue grossed from the 2019 Vietnam International Travel Mart – Hanoi (VITM) is estimated at VND322.3 billion (US$13.9 million).
Nearly 30,000 visitors purchased tours during four days of the 2019 VITM, which took place from March 27 to 30, said Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) Vu The Binh at a closing ceremony on March 30.
According to the organizing board, the three-day event (from March 27 to 29), drew nearly 3,200 businesses and 65,000 visitors, who came to purchase some of the tourism products on show. Total revenue grossed from the fair is estimated at VND322.3 billion (US$13.9 million).
In addition, a survey conducted at the trade fair found that an overwhelming 96.43% of participants were satisfied with the 2019 VITM and and at least 74.5% of businesses are committed to participating in the next annual event, the 2020 VITM.
A forum themed “Green Tourism” is being held for the first time, become the highlight of the event. Delegates discussed the development of ecotourism, environmental protection, and responses to climate change.
