Nearly 98% of Hanoi’s students pass national high school exam

Hanoi has 166 examinees receiving mark 10 (of the 10-point scale), accounting for 0.04%, more than 9,800 others obtained mark 9 while 46,569 received mark 8.

Nearly 98% of Hanoi’s students have passed the national high school exams 2019, excluding the examinees coming from other provinces to take the exams in the city, according to the municipal Department of Education and Training’s statistics.

Specifically, 70 schools in the city have a graduation rate of 100%, accounting for one third of the total number of high schools in Hanoi.

The city has 166 examinees receiving mark 10 (of the 10-point scale), accounting for 0.04%, more than 9,800 others obtained mark 9 while 46,569 candidates received mark 8. 

Notably, 297 Hanoi students scored the total of 27.0 points or above for three subjects, topping the whole country.

Ta Duy Phuong from Nguyen Hue Gifted High School achieved the highest score in the city with 29.05 points for three subjects namely Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.

The exam results show the quality of teaching and learning in Hanoi’s high schools, which results from the comprehensive innovation of education and training with the focus on promoting learners' ability.
