At the reception, the Ambassador confirmed, New Zealand-Vietnam tie enhanced and developed strongly during the past time, based strongly on the bond with Hanoi. Hence, mutual cooperation still have room to expand, especially in education, disaster risk management and high tech agriculture. About Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in 2017, Mrs Matthews committed NZ willingness to support Vietnam as well as Hanoi hosting the event.
