New Zealand’s education fair in Hanoi

Recently, the New Zealand’s education fair in Hanoi with the participation of 35 leading educational institutions from New Zealand, including high schools, Private training establishments (PTEs), Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITSs) and universities has attracted thousands of visitors.

The education fair is seen as part of the effort to help Vietnamese students get to know the New Zealand’s modern education system. Particularly, in this education fair, many New Zealand’s educational institutions with existing cooperative programs with Vietnamese partners also attend the event. At the same time, information with regard to student visa has been clearly explained with the direct consulting from the immigration agency – Embassy of New Zealand. On the other hand, the event also has many attracting gifts, including visa waiver for students, or Samsung tablet for any successfully applicants through L&V education consultancy. 

New Zealand is becoming a popular destination for Vietnamese students in pursuing modern education. Statistics show, the number of Vietnamese students choosing New Zealand for study in the first 8 months of 2017 has increased 64% compared to the same period of last year. 

Especially, in the previous August, the Nelson Marlboroug Institute of Technology (NMIT) has signed the Memorandum of Understanding in acknowledging transitional credits for bachelor degree programs majoring in business management and IT with Hong Bang International University (Hai Phong city). These programs are developed with the aim of both educational institutions to support students enhancing knowledge in the selected majors. 

​Director of Education New Zealand Association in South East Asia, South Asia and Middle East – Mr. John Laxon said, agreements on cooperation in this time is aimed to realize commitment of New Zealand’s universities in bringing valuable studying experiences for Vietnamese students.
