Vietnamese students won one gold, four silver, two bronze medals at the 15th Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO), was held at Singapore from May 11-15, according to Ministry of Education and Training.
More than 300 students and other representatives from 27 countries took part in the 15th Asian Physics Olympiad.
Vietnam delegation includes eight students from specialized high schools across the country including Nang Khieu, Phan Boi Chau, Amsterdam high school and others.
A gold medal from the International Physics Olympic Contest was given to Cao Ngoc Thai, twelfth grader from Phan Boi Chau High School in Nghe An.
Four silver medals from the Asian Physics Olympiad belonged to Dao Phuong Khoi, Do Thi Bich Hue, twelfth grader from Natural Science High School; Vu Thanh Trung Nam, eleventh grader from Amsterdam High school and Pham Nguyen Tuan Anh, twelfth grader from Nang Khieu High school in Ho Chi Minh City.
Two bronze medals went to Cao Van Nam from Nang Khieu High school and Nguyen Ngoc Khanh from Phan Boi Chau High school.
A certificate was offered Hoang Phuong Anh from Luong Van Tuy High school.
Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan said that ministry will also award certificates for winners on May 19.
