Titled “Water is at the core of sustainable development”, the 2015 World Water Day aims to raise public awareness of the relationship between water and sustainable development as well as promote dialogues to solve related issues.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai affirmed the importance of effective water use for sustainable development. Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang voiced that water resources play an important and indispensable role in sustainable development and are an urgent requirement for humankind’s existence.
The event offered an opportunity for managers, businesses, scientists and students to share initiatives, models and solutions in order to solve problems concerning water and sustainable development.
