Over 100 safe agricultural products presented to consumers in Hanoi
The fair is one of many events organized by Hanoi to strengthen trade links among the city and localities across the country and promote farming products.
A safe agricultural products fair is underway from June 25-30 at 33 Nguyen Chi Thanh Street in Hanoi, showcasing over 100 products from farm produce, food and beverages, and goods under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program.

The fair features 10 product groups from farmers' associations in the northern provinces of Bac Giang and Son La and Hanoi suburbs, including Ba Vi, Hoai Duc, Thanh Oai, Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin, and Ung Hoa. All products are qualified for food safety and origin, meeting the demand of people in the capital city.
Speaking at the fair on June 25, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi Farmers' Association Le Thi Thanh Nhan said that producers and retailers are working together to stimulate consumption and address the current low purchasing power.
She added that the fair is a chance for enterprises, cooperatives, manufacturing plants, and farmers in Hanoi and other provinces to promote agricultural products, expand distribution systems, and participate in effective supply chains. It is also the first safe agricultural products fair this year.
"Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to experience and purchase agricultural specialties from different regions, such as Luc Ngan lychees, Moc Chau plums, and Thanh Oai steamed rice crepe," Nhan said. "Distinctive handicraft products like the renowned conical hats from Chuong Village (Thanh Oai District) and innovative creations utilizing banana fiber will be actively promoted and marketed."
The event is part of the Hanoi Farmers' Union's plan to implement a series of programs to promote the consumption of safe agricultural products in 2023, coordinating with others in 32 provinces and cities nationwide.
