"Get on Hanoi 2023" is the kick-off activity of a series of 50 events, festivals and tourism promotion programs, including the Hanoi Tourism Festival, Tourism Gift Festival, Hanoi Ao Dai Festival and Craft Village Tourism Festival. It aims to contribute to achieving the national target of welcoming over 22 million visitors, including over three million international arrivals, and total tourist revenue of VND77 trillion (US$3.6 billion) in 2023.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on March 11, Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, said: "We expect that these activities will better promote the image of Hanoi tourism, as well as facilitate local businesses and attract a large number of tourists to the capital."

The "Get on Hanoi 2023" program will also be broadcast live on social networking platforms: the Hanoi Tourism Department fan page and Youtube.

2023 is the second year of the program under the theme "Hanoi - a safe, friendly, quality, attractive destination", which contributes positively to the socio-economic progress of the capital and the development of tourism in Vietnam.

This year, the capital's tourism authority will focus on developing new and innovative tourism products, MICE and golf tourism, especially improving infrastructure and accommodation facilities.

The Municipal Department of Tourism is coordinating with the Hanoi Department of Transport to explore investment in river sightseeing routes along the Red River, West Lake, Dong Mo Lake, combined with cultural, heritage and agricultural tourism, experiential tourism in districts and cities.

In addition, this year, it has launched the Ben Bac - Bat Trang bus line. It's a good transportation option to famous destinations around the city, such as Huong Pagoda, Ba Vi National Park, Duong Lam Ancient Village, and others.
