Pianist Anne Chamberlain to perform in Hanoi

The Portland (Maine) Concert Association awarded Ms. Chamberlain the John Knowles Paine Award in recognition of her performances of American music from the late 20th Century.

American pianist, Anne Chamberlain, is returning to Hanoi for a free concert at the Goethe Institute at 8pm on August 22.

Together with Vietnamese artists including pianist Dinh Thu Huong and sopranos Dao Thi To Loan and Ryoko Bohmuki, the concert will take music lovers on a journey through 18th century German classics from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, to the compositions of Richard Strauss.
Anne Chamberlain was born in New York City, graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and studied at the Juilliard School. She has given concerts as a soloist and as a chamber musician throughout the United States and Europe.
In recent years she has performed in Hanoi, Vietnam, coaching and accompanying singers from the Vietnam National Opera Company and giving chamber music concerts with leading instrumentalists from Hanoi’s musical community.
Audiences can get free tickets at the Goethe Institute in Hanoi from 10am on August 18.
