PM Phuc to have a series of bilateral meetings in Switzerland

On January 17 afteroon, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Vietnamese high-ranking delegation to left for Davos, Switzerland to attend the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) that takes place from January 17 – 21 at the invitation of WEF Klaus Schwab President.

The PM is leading a high–ranking Vietnamese delegation including Minister-Chairman of the Government’s Office Mai Tien Dung; Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh; Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong; and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, among others.

Under the themed “Responsive and Responsible Leadership”, the meeting consists of 300 discussions on various matters, including improving global governance, responding to security instability and crisis, speeding up inclusive and sustainable growth, economic restructuring and social reform, and developing new industrial systems and business models in the context of the fourth industrial revolution.

The event draws attendance of leaders of numerous countries, international organisations and world-leading companies. PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc will hold various bilateral meetings with leaders of participating countries and development partners on the sidelines of the meeting.

It is scheduled that the Prime Minister will also have a series of bilateral meetings, such as meeting with the WEF's President Klaus Schwab, meeting with Swiss President Doris Leuthard and leaders of many countries attending the conference. At the mean time receiving a number of international organizations and several major corporations in the world.
