The president, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, extended warm greetings to the Vietnamese families in and outside the country.
Phuc requested all levels of Party committees and localities to continue implementing the guidelines of the Party and State on family works, with a focus on promoting the family role in nurturing and educating young generations as well as preserving cultural values and fine standards of Vietnamese families in the new period of the country.
He wanted localities and agencies to give more care to the elderly and families of people with meritorious services to the country’s revolution and well implement social welfares, especially people struggling with difficulties and living in remote areas and people of ethnic minority groups, in an effort to help the country integrate into the world.
“It’s needed to take proactive, responsible and more effective in preventing domestic violence, inequality and protecting disadvantaged groups, making a contribution to the successful implementation of the 13th Party Congress’s Resolution “Building prosperous, happy, progressive and civilized Vietnamese families”,” he noted.
He wrote from the past to the present, facing war or peace, the family has always been an important part of society, a solid foundation contributing to the national strength. In the new stage of development, the family still plays a central role and position in the socio-economic life of Vietnamese people.
The family is the place to connect and unite generations, preserve and promote traditional values and the quintessence of the national culture. It is also the source of strength for the great unity of the nation. “It is the safest and most solid house for each member in the face of difficulties and risks in life.”
In the context of the serious development of the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam, he said many officials, doctors, and soldiers did not mind the hardships and dangers of entering the pandemic’s center. The family is always fulcrum, faith, and encouragement for them to overcome difficulties and complete their tasks well.
Many families have donated and joined hands with the Party, State, and the whole political system to prevent and control the outbreak, making Vietnam become a bright spot of novel coronavirus recognized and appreciated by friends around the world.
"I hope every Vietnamese family in the country and abroad will constantly strive to rise up, each Vietnamese person will show the highest civic responsibility and affection for family members to continue building a real family of joys and happiness, nurturing the soul, personality, pride, aspiration to contribute to the development of the beloved country of Vietnam - For a strong and prosperous Vietnam.”
