The Vietnamese Government is willing to create most favourable conditions for foreign investors, including those from Japan to conduct long-term investment, business and production activities in Vietnam, said President Truong Tan Sang.
The Vietnamese State leader made the affirmation during his reception for the Governor of Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture Kuroiwa Yuji in Hanoi on October 16.
He appreciated the cooperation between Kanagawa and Vietnamese localities, affirming that investment projects run by enterprises from Kanagawa Prefecture in Vietnam are implemented successfully, contributing to strengthening the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Kanagawa in general, and with Japan in general.
President Truong Tan Sang asked the Governor to call on leaders from Japan’s other localities to provide support for and share development cooperation experience with Vietnamese counterparts.
He expressed the hope that the Japan Government will continue its financial and experience assistance for Vietnam’s industrialization and modernization efforts.
Governor Yuji Kuroiwa informed the Vietnamese President about his fact-finding tour in the Thang Long 2 Industrial Park in the northern province of Hung Yen, saying that the large scale of the IP makes it suitable for manufacturing precision equipments and machines.
The Japanese guest also spoke highly of the Vietnam Festival in Kanagawa, which was held on the occasion of Party Secretary General Nguyen Phu Trong’s official visit to Japan in September, saying that the cultural event is very attractive to Japanese people.
The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also welcomed Governor Kanagawa at the Foreign Ministry in Hanoi, during which he praised the role and efforts made by the Japanese official in foster all-around ties with Vietnam
For his part, the Japanese guest said his visit to Vietnam aims to encourage businesses from Kanagawa to invest in industrial parks in Hung Yen on the basis of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two localities.
He promised to do his utmost to contribute to Vietnam-Japan relations in the future.
