Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Zarubezneft Petroleum Corporation
On May 17 afternoon, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Zarubezneft Petroleum Corporation, one of the leading Russian natural gas giants within his official tour to the Russian Federation.
In the welcoming speech, Zarubezneft Director General thanked the support of Vietnamese Government and promised to continue trying to promote cooperation with Vietnam oil and gas business in the future.
PM Phuc highlighted that energy cooperation forms one of the most important pillars of Viet Nam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership. He praised the fruitful cooperation between the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) and Zarubezhneft, saying it a vivid symbol of the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership.
The government leader affirmed the Vietnamese government's readiness to support sustainable, long-term and mutually-beneficial collaboration between the two countries, as well as between PetroVietnam and Zarubezhneft.
The guest also suggested seeking new forms of cooperation, especially in processing petrol products, manufacturing engine fuels and applying green technologies. Talking to Zarubezhneft engineers and workers, PM Phuc said he hopes with the long-standing and close friendship between Vietnam and Russia, PetroVietnam - Zarubezhneft cooperation will grow and flourish in the so not distant future.
PM Phuc affirmed that the Vietnamese Government, always creates favorable ways for Russian entrepreneurs to do business in Viet Nam. He also hoped that Gazprom would expand their footholds in Viet Nam in such traditional areas as oil and gas exploration and exploitation; crude oil supply, petro chemistry; and production of fuel for automobiles.
The Government leader hoped that the effective cooperation between the Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovienam) and Gazprom would be strengthened in favor of respective socio-economic development and the bilateral ties.
Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Management Committee (CEO) of Russian energy company Gazprom Alexey Borisovich Miller said that despite economic difficulties, Russia’s oil and gas business activities has been conducted fruitfully.
He also announced that the State and Government of Russia always facilitate the spearhead economic industry. Earlier, PM Phuc visited Zarubezhneft, one of Russia’s leading oil and gas groups. Zarubezhneft General Director Sergey Kudryashov thanked the Vietnamese Government for its support over the past number of years and pledged to boost ties with Vietnamese partners in the future.
