On March 17, Hanoi People`s Committee President Nguyen Duc Chung has awarded Friendship Medal to Prof. Joel Leroy (France) for his contributions to the healthcare of Hanoi and strengthening the friendship between France and Vietnam.

Prof. Joel Leroy who is one of the world leading specialist in gastrointestinal surgery plays a great role in improving healthcare in Hanoi. In 2016, Digestion and high technology centre was completed thanks to his consultancy.
