A conference on investment and tourism promotion in the central province of Quang Binh was held in Hanoi on April 11.
Quang Binh province has many advantages to exploit and develop the resorts and sightseeing tours, such as Phong Nha and Thien Duong caves, Nhat Le Beach.
The locality owns the international-class tourist route, "Discovery trips to Son Doong cave - the world's largest cave", and various forms of adventure tourism in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.
In recent years, Quang Binh's tourism has gained a lot of significant achievements, especially welcomed of nearly 3 million visitors in 2015, including nearly 100,000 international passengers.
The local tourism has affirmed an attractive, safety and quality destination, which is familiar with domestic and foreign tourists.
In 2016, the central province of Quang Binh targets to draw some 3.3 million visitors, including 100,000 foreign tourists through discovery trips to Son Doong cave and homestay and farmstay models which are popular with foreign tourists.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Tien Dung said apart from eco and maritime tourism, the locality should further develop farmstay and homestay models.
To reach the target for 3.3 million visitors this year, the province will continue increasing the quality of tourism products and services and upgrade transport infrastructure facilities, Dung said.
In addition, the local tourism sector will put into operation new tours and tourist attractions such as routes: "Exploring Va and Nuoc Nut caves, different experiences"; "Discovery tríp to 7,000m Thien Duong cave".
Besides, the province will organise numerous cultural activities, including: Week of Cultural Tourism in Dong Hoi city (early May); the first Quang Binh International Beer Festival Quang Binh (in July).
