At the opening ceremony of Sa Pa Autumn Festival 2018, the Lao Cai Folk Arts Union showed a special performance named "Yellow autumn in Sa Pa". The performance highlighted the cultural identity of Lao Cai and Sapa ethnic groups, attracted thousands of visitors.
In addition, the Sa Pa district People's Committee displayed many beautiful brocade products, attracting thousands of visitors to shop on the walking streets in the town.
Sa Pa Autumn Festival is an important tourist event of the year in Sa Pa district, with cultural and artistic activities to promote cultural values and contribute to Sa Pa's socio-economic development. The festival will run until the end of September.
Sa Pa National Park is famous for many tourist attractions such as Ham Rong Mountain, Silver Waterfall, terraced fields and Mount Fansipan, the report added.
According to the Sa Pa district People's Committee, said that in the first six months of 2018, Sa Pa welcomed over 1.6 million turns of tourists, turnover of tourism and services reached over VND2,000 billion (US$86 million).
